Sadly Jill was put to sleep last Sunday. Life had become quite difficult for her. She had a myriad of health problems and it was a real juggling act to keep her living a reasonably normal life. But in the end she wouldn't eat and the medications just stopped working. I am very grateful to all the staff at Greencross Vets Caloundra who kept both Jill and I functioning at times and gave me many more months of quality time with her than I expected. She was my little soulmate and I will miss her so much. Jill lived till 14 years and 4 months so that was a pretty good innings.

Goodbye little Jill. What a wonderful life she had - racing around the farm in her prime and then relaxing by the sea in her later years.
ReplyDeleteOh I am sorry to hear about Jill, I missed this post. Up in doggy heaven with Jack swapping stories and watching with renewed interest your dog hotel I'm sure.
